Republic day Celebration

Greetings from MCIA,

I would like to take this moment to thank all of you and your families that were able to take the time to participate in MCIA's Repubic Day Celebration on Saturday January 26th, 2008. MCIA is glad that you were able to join us in saluting to our nation and as a mark of respect for this special day. One could feel the patriotic emotions running amongst the packed room at the venue with standing audiences. It is encouraging to have one of the largest turnout - for an MCIA event such as this. Our regards to you for all the support.

It is our goal this year to collaborate and celebrate collectively with all of our Indian organizations. We are proud to share that our first event provided a platform for participation from all Indian groups - Marathi, Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, and Kerala.  It was a visual treat - to celebrate together as proud INDIANs. MCIA committee plans to bring us all together in the events planned for the rest of the year.

Thanks to each and everyone for your combined and collaborative effort in putting a great show together. It would not have been possible without the support from members, friends, community leaders, our cheering audiences, MC, performances from kids and adults, Bal Vihar, speakers, supporting Indian organizations, event sponsors, refreshments sponsor, pantagraph, hospitality group, events coordination, programs commitee, communications and PR committee, MCIA 2008 Committee, Indian Students Association from ISU, proud seniors, honor awardees, and our past presidents.

Our volunteers and committee members deserve a big round of applause for going the extra mile in coordinating such a good show. We look forward to having your support as we make plans for upcoming community events that interest all of you.
